Outside my glistening window
While the evening darkens
I seek a peaceful slumber
And my glad soul hearkens
To the sounds of an evening lark

The Wonder of His Might

Published On: September 21, 2003  00:12, filed in Verse
I felt the cold autumn breeze kiss my face last night
While pausing to consider the enormity of the evening sky
A great joy rose up then inside my beating heart
And in the midst of my joy I cried out in gratitude
I took a deep breath and I determined with fortitude
To seek out the joy of His presence and never depart
And to return to that place beneath the evening sky
Where once I was reminded of the wonder of His might
