The Asian Family

0

From a trip I took several months ago…

There was this asian family sitting across from me at the airport terminal. The mother was reading the paper in chinese, or looking out the window, lips pulled back in a dissapproving frown so comfortable for her that it is probably habitual. The father was sitting to her right, looking intent and uncomfortable, and the twentysomething daughter to her left was slouched in the seat reading a Dan Brown novel, fine black hair dyed red and cut just a bit longer than her chin. I remember she was twisting her hair with her fingers and bouncing her foot.
