There’s a saying that, "Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise." The sentiment is found in proverbs. There probably is something to it. I’ve been late to bed and late to rise and very busy last several months, and now I’m sick. I wonder if its a portent of things to come?Been reading C. S. Lewis of late. Decided to finally finish the space trilogy, and so I read "That Hideous Strength". Lovely book. I had not really understood the level of Lewis’ distaste for modern feminism, and after reading "The Dark Tower"…
She reminds me of a greek maiden. Maybe its the lack of arms…
I’m sick. Sometime today, I shall endevour to post some more photos, but I’m running out of older stuff to print and haven’t had a chance to get out and shoot new stuff.I have a full blown cold, sinus preassure, stufy nose, sore throat. I expect I’ll start coughing soon. As it is, I’m sneezing a lot. Feel miserable, so bear with me.
I don’t know why I named this one Angeline, except that it seemed fitting.
C. S. Lewis said that "[Repentance] is not something God demands of you before He will take you back…; it is simply a description of what going back is like." From the Faith Alone Journal’s article on The Theology of C. S. Lewis.
He holds that cross as though his soul depends on it.
I like the mournful expression on his face. In recent days his expression has been remeniscient of my moods. Wishing for something, hopes and desires unrequited.
Ok, so more photos from my trip to Bellefontaine Cemetery. I have about a week or so’s worth of these, then hopefuly onto more newer stuff.
I like this version better. The monochrome adds impact, mostly because of the deeper shadows I think.
I am terribly sorry about the break in photos. Hopefullly, I shall be able to get back to normal posting very soon. I do have a couple photos for you though, taken a couple months ago at the Saint Louis Scottish Games held in Forest Park. There was a bird exhibit with an Owl, a Golden Eagle, a Peregine Flacon and a Hawk. This is the Falcon I think, though if you know better, I’ll stand corrected, it could be the hawk.
From an article in the LA Times this little excerpt nearly bowled me over:Sarah, 23, says it never occurred to her to use birth control, though she has been sexually active for six years. When she became pregnant this fall, Sarah, who works in real estate, was in the midst of planning her wedding. "I don’t think my dress would have fit with a baby in there," she says.I’m speechless.
Wudanbal has been working on an AJAX bible too. He only has Gen – Joshua. Perhaps I ought to try and convince him to help me with mine…
Its a short, 2 second test of stop motion animation using my Canon 10D and a common art figurine.
My code was messy so I cleaned it up and found several errors, one of which was preventing a large number of passages from coming back. The "Too Much Recursion" error has been fixed.
Bricklayer is a little bit like .net, java with netbeans, and all the other technologies that allows for strict seperation of presentation, business, and application logic. Bricklayer is built with PERL, and in some ways approximates the API we all know so well in MovableType. If you’re a developer who likes perl, give it a look.
I’ve updated the Ajax Bible. It now displays all the references where a Strongs number is used in the bible.
Not that I’ve won anything yet, but reliable sources seem to indicate that Bling.com does indeed work. Uses Google as the search engine, so if nothing else it offers a different look to the same results you’re used to getting. If you sign up and invite others to join, when your "friends" win something, so do you. Be my friend on bling.com. ;) The above link takes you to the same page. And keep in mind that you don’t have sign up to win, you only have to sign up to claim the prize. Setup is easy. I’ll keep you…
I’ve got a tremendous amount of work to do in the next week. I’ve run out of photos ready to be posted, so there will be a short break of a few days before I’ll be able to post photos again. I’ll try to get them up over Thanksgiving weekend.
