I have been writing on the web since 2000. I am a christian , a photographer, an occasional poet, a recovering dreamer, an occasional philosopher, a software developer, an autodidact, and I resemble the INFP personality type.

Dopamine doesn’t manage pleasure so much as it manages how interesting stuff appears to our brains. I came across an ask.metafilter.com question about how to manage anger. A lot of people indicated that exercise (one person mentioned sex specifically) was a good way to work off the excess energy, but I wondered if the diminutive affect it has on anger is due more to the release of dopamine from the exercise which would helps our brains focus and think clearly and thus deal with the source of the anger more rationally. What do you think?

While surfing the net today I ran across an article on Christianity Today about Bono and his involvement in Africa and his call for the Church to do more in terms of social giving. In general I agree with Bono, we as Christians should do more to minister to the fatherless and widows as it says in James 1:27. I can’t say that I agree with the way Bono has exemplified Christian life though. I think perhaps he stopped reading after the first half of James 1:27 and skipped over the part about keeping ourselves unspotted from the world. ;)That…

I’m late on this story, but finding myself interested I’ve taken it upon myself to collate some pertinent links. Bono is Born Again. Who Knew? He gives a fantastic view of grace and karma. Also, another similiar interview can be found on belief.net. And finally, a response to Bono by Boundless in regards to remarks he made in 2002 (see, I told you I was late :). Tod talks about the issue what kind of Church Bono would want to attend in his post "Bono, Neo! Want a Place to Belong?"

It’s not the sharpest photo, nor even the best photo possible of such animals, but it was all I was able to capture. I thought it important to give you one photo of that type of animal. There was a wide variety of breeds in the park. Their much more impressive in person. :)

Posted on Chromasia.com in regards to his Company Fierce portrait.“I think what I liked immediately with this photo is the color of her skin. Its accentuated by the rest of otherwise monocromatic elements in the photo. Also, the almost blownout highlights of her dress give her a pure quality. I’ve never been good with producing those kind of highlights or making use of them in my prints. But I always find them enjoyable when I see them in others.”

In case you’re missing it, Jason Kottke is currently posting links to really old internet events and pages. He’s treating them like new links and throwing them into his remaindered links with the new ones. Why? I have no idea.
