A black rhino who isn’t very black. I’ve been combing the archives for pictures and found a few that I missed, mostly from excursions I took during my hiatus. I’ve got some photos from the zoo, the Cathedral Basilica, Calvary Cemetery, snow, and the Arch. So stay tuned.
Wherever you go in Ireland, you will find sheep. They say the ration of sheep to people in Ireland is 2:1. ;)
Say hello to my little friend. ;) The Reticulated Giraffe is the tallest living land mammal. They are known for they’re exceptionally good eyesight and hearing.
The African Lion is the only big cat that lives in social groups. They eat just about anything they can catch and kill. I saw a Pride of lions while in Africa several months ago. Beautiful animals.
The Amur Tiger is a big cat, who likes the cold, is somewhat social, and occasionaly sheds its stripes.

If you look close you can see the holes in his ears. I don’t know how old the old guy is, but he’s obviously been around the block a few times.
As we were motoring along the Nile, on the west bank this big Bull Elephant was at the rivers edge, drinking and giving himself a bath. He stood there for a good ten minutes, showing off, spraying water, and eating the grass.
I think maybe the guy she was trying to pick up dumped her.
I never really thought about it till I saw them in Africa, but Hippopotamuses are ugly. No. Really.
What’s to say. You wouldn’t think something tha gangly would be so cool. *grin*
