A close up of the photo posted on the 13th. My favorite of this figure.

This one was more weathered than most, and the figure has a distinctly medieval look about the face and hair.
I like the way the trees frame her figure, and the way the stature leans slightly forward. I think it may need cropping a little, to center the image, but I’m not sure.
Chromasia posted a pleasure doing business / 10 November, 2005 and John from Shots Photography started a discussion. I’m not sure what the heart of the discussion was about, but I posted some thought about photography and the medium that I felt were interesting enough to repost here.I’m terribly confused…
The colors of Autumn and the soft muted tones of grey colored stone. I like the expression of her face and folds of her robe and the way the weatherd stone adds depth to the piece.
Of all the locations in Saint Louis that I have photographed, the two cemeteries in North Saint Louis are my favorite. In the Fall, few places are more beautiful. The quiet atmousphere and surrounding sculpture is a rare place of beauty and repose.
These kind of images are, by far, the most affecting for me. There is something about the worn and weathered look of a face that speaks of care and long suffering.
We visited the Bellefontaine Cemetery last friday. I couldn’t bring myself to convert this next set of photos to black and white. The colors of Fall have been gorgeous.
I loke Herons and Egrets. This bird is Heron, I think. If you know better, then feel free to correct me. I’ve not yet been able to capture a really good photo of one in the wild, but I’m going to some day.
This is a better photo than yesterday. The patterns in the wood are fascinating, and the color and texture is warm and inviting.
An old rotting tree beside the lake. I like driftwood. It reminds me of old things and nature.
A stone laying next to the shore of the Lake Carlyle. I like the texture, and expecially the way the water brings out the patterns in the stone.
The color version of this image is warmer, but I find I like both images equally well. Neither one is the same, and each show a different side.

Another view of that ball. This photo reminds me of the Oct 10th, 2005 Frazz strip about wanting to fly. I do love that strip. A friend pointed out how much like Bill Waterson the artwork was. It does have Calvin and Hobbes moments. Man, I miss that strip.
