We were able to finally visit a cemetery on Saturday. I took a good number of photos, many of which you will see here. I titled this photo “Forgiveness” because the perspective puts the cross in the position you would see it if you were kneeling in front of it.…
She reminds me of a greek maiden. Maybe its the lack of arms…
I don’t know why I named this one Angeline, except that it seemed fitting.
He holds that cross as though his soul depends on it.
I like the mournful expression on his face. In recent days his expression has been remeniscient of my moods. Wishing for something, hopes and desires unrequited.
Ok, so more photos from my trip to Bellefontaine Cemetery. I have about a week or so’s worth of these, then hopefuly onto more newer stuff.
This angel reminds me of what I would expect to appear before the empty tomb of Christ, proclaiming, "He is not here, He is risen as He said!".
This one was more weathered than most, and the figure has a distinctly medieval look about the face and hair.

I like the way the trees frame her figure, and the way the stature leans slightly forward. I think it may need cropping a little, to center the image, but I’m not sure.
The colors of Autumn and the soft muted tones of grey colored stone. I like the expression of her face and folds of her robe and the way the weatherd stone adds depth to the piece.
