I am a student of the Ching-I Chuan style of KungFu and when I read this article on The Analytics of Pitching my curiosity was piqued. In Ching-I we are taught that power is generated by the hips, using the mechanics of the body to drive power into whatever strike we use. Now, with motion capture, pitchers are being taught scientifically those same methods. Interesting.
