Sometimes words won’t do. My thoughts are all so jumbled, And in my mind so tumbled, About with disarray. Oh what could I say? So I chose instead to purchase, A card with this one purpose, To let you know its true, I think the world of you. (for Mrs. Spilger)

Wanting to move, I find myself seized with indecision Having a desire to respond, yet holding back I know not what my Lord wills in this situation And time marches on, heedless Deep wants, the secret dreams, held close and dear Grasping the insistent hope, while waiting For the fog between now and the future to clear As time marches on, heedless The silence is His answer, and I am contented All things in time, the patient virtue tells With hope and faith my dreams in Him invested While time marches on, with purpose

Before the light strikes the rocky shore And myst rolls up from the shadowy moor My heart beats, a pounding beneath my chest I pause as I look out on the foamy crest And I listen to the sea and its deafening roar As I watch the snow white sea gull soar And wait for aurora’s light
My heart lies wounded, ever broken, wanting to be free Yet not greatly, do I seek it, trying fearfully Not so! Cried He, with fervor strong, to you soundness of mind Tis yours to claim, beloved child, adopted son of mine. He came to earth, to live and die, and hang upon a tree And no sweeter thought had He, than His love for thee So do you think, that He would have, you wounded and not free When faithful and just, to forgive is He, a child such as thee Someday this Earth will hold no more, my feet…
Sounds of laughter fill the air And I know her tender care Are precious to the ones who know The special girl to whom I owe This blessed eventide
Who is that friend I seek at night With long blond hair and eyes so bright With whom I wish to chase this hour Till sunshine lay upon the flower By the window sil
I walked along the rolling streams And drank in deep of all my dreams Life then felt rich, as rich as gold Richer than the kings of old Now it seems life’s frantic pace Has robbed me of the gentle grace That once I loved about those streams That walked I by within my dreams
