I have been writing on the web since 2000. I am a christian , a photographer, an occasional poet, a recovering dreamer, an occasional philosopher, a software developer, an autodidact, and I resemble the INFP personality type.

I wrote these a long time ago, under a psuedonym. A plan to help spur me to write that mostly failed, as well as offer me a chance to experiment with the blogger tool. Oh well, I didn’t have time, and quickly lost interest. I remembered it some time ago and decided it was about time to move the poems over here for good keeping.

I saw a great white mountainIt stood still and forlornCast upon a lonely landA face in stolid formI went to see that mountainI thought it called to meA voice raw with emotionIt called with urgencyYou I’ll give adventureUpon my rocky cleftGreat and wild to beholdUpon the mountain deftI ranged upon that mountainI felt its every poreI stood upon its high peakI saw the eagle soarI met strange and wondrous peoplesTough and hard as the stoneI met strange and beautiful creaturesWhere the high wind has blownNow live I with the mountainI hear his voiceless cryI’ll hear that call all my daysUntil…

In the early morning sunrise Glories seep across the sky Brilliant burning raging color Set alight the clouds so high Slowly dawn makes known her presence Light azure in lonely streaks Branching out from lofty heaven Chasing stars by mountain peaks See the dawn in all its glory God of wonder spoken true The very wealth of this His heaven Give the glory that He’s due

I get asked how I am doing by friends and aquaintences, as I go about the daily practice of living. I am often caught unprepared, not having anything relevant to say immediately, and upon further reflection, finding that so much and so little have happened there isn’t any good way to get started. The inevitable reply is of course, "good". :) But that does little alleviate the need to tell somebody what is going on.I like to talk about myself. I think this is one reason why I find blogging attractive. I can spend hourse talking without worrying about stealing the…

Megan and Allen are good friends of mine. Megan’s mother is currently fighting leukemia, and the prognosis doesn’t look good. We would all appreciate your prayers for Mrs. Bounds and the family.

Words spoken by Lynn Faulkner, the father of a girl who lost her mother in the WTC on 9/11. The President had been working the line, shaking hands with people on Tuesday at the Golden Lamb Inn in Lebanon, when someone mentioned that the girl had lost her mom. The President stopped to ask her how she was doing, and then gave her a hug. (ref: Cincinatti Inquirer

I tend to harp. I know, and I’m sorry, but its not my fault. MrSirio does such a good job, and he’s consistent about it. See his latest.Chromogenic’s photo of Florence Beach is minimalistic, and has a certain intense beauty about it. Justin Ouellette also does a consistent job of delivered evocotive shots with a variety of camera sources.

If you are scripting with the DOM in mozilla browsers, and probably with IE browsers as well, you should never name your elements the same as your id. example:Bad:<input name="key" id="key" />Good:<input name="key1" id="key2" />If you gvie the elements name attribute and id attribute the same value, then the DOM gets confused and returns nothing. And now you know!

In the most recent edition of Touchstone Magazine, S. M. Hutchins speaks in his article Please Me, O Lord about the roots of Romantic Worship. Very well done. To note, I covered this issue with less aplomb in a post on A Blog Apart called, Rampant Addiction to Emotionalism Discovered in Much of the Western World!
