From a trip I took a few months ago…There was a thirtysomething couple who were slightly drunk, flirting with each other and overly chatty. The woman was talking to me and laughing and leaning in close to look at my ticket.

From a trip I took a few months ago…There was petulant young boy with his mother, who had to be told not to get in the way of the attendant taking care of ticketing. He was whiney and hovered close to his mother when scolded.

From a trip I took a few months ago…I remember a southern gentleman, standing in line with his khaki pants, yellow plaid shirt, and oldish blue blazer and straw hat. There were two college age girls in the terminal also, trendy, looking almost feline. The one was sitting, the other standing, caught in mid stretch. She looked indolent, sensual and slinky, wearing an “I love guess” t-shirt that was so thin you can see through it to the sports bra she’s wearing underneath.

From a trip I took several months ago…There was this asian family sitting across from me at the airport terminal. The mother was reading the paper in chinese, or looking out the window, lips pulled back in a dissapproving frown so comfortable for her that it is probably habitual. The father was sitting to her right, looking intent and uncomfortable, and the twentysomething daughter to her left was slouched in the seat reading a Dan Brown novel, fine black hair dyed red and cut just a bit longer than her chin. I remember she was twisting her hair with her…

On the subway yesterday, I had to switch trains at Grand. While I was standing on the platform, I looked over and saw this guy who reminded me of Andrew. He had the same jaw and nose. I remember he had a red checkered shirt on, and got off at Union Station.

I don’t have many cool t-shirts. In fact, 90% of my t-shirts were aquired from work/school/church/volunteer activities. Sad, I know. But I’m going to fix this. Next year (because I have other important financial obligations this year), is going to be the “Year of the T-Shirt”. :)So I’m collecting my favorite witty and socially hip/rebellious/incrowd t-shirts. You know how life is like a train, and sometimes you’re in the Engine and in complete control, and sometimes you’re in the Kaboose, just hanging on? Oy. Life, of course, is cyclical, and the last couple of months have been busy, but unlike other months when I’m busy (because I’m pretty much busy all the time), these months I’ve also been worn out, a situation that I had hoped would be avoided by the surgury I had in Jan of this year, but unfortunately has not had the miraculous rejuvinating effects I had hoped (at least, the effects I…

The Pendragon Project, from Burns Family Theatre, producer of Christian family movies The Burns go to my church and are doing a great job with this. Very professional. If you go to he downloads page and watch the 3min clip, some of the footage in the battle scene was shot my me. ;) First time behind a video camera. They had needed a second camera and I was available. Cool huh?

You’ve probably been wondering where them pictures are, haven’t you? Well, I’ll tell you. They’re sitting on my hard drive. ;)As you may have already guesed by this point, I’m about to tell you I’ve been busy. But, I am not going to apologize. ;) The shifting stresses in life move all the time, its a bit like the tide in that respect, and the tide has come in for things here at my job, you know, the one that pays all the bills. I feel myself being pulled in one to many directions, so walljm.com is being put on…

Here is a list of the new features: Word Search: excluding a small list of very common words, you can now find references by search for key words. There is no implimentation for quotes or key words such as AND and OR. You can assume all words will use AND functionality. Much thanks go to Jeremy Wall for building the expat parser in perl to parse the bible and build the indexes I use for the word searches. I could have done it without him, but it would have been much more miserable for me, and my parser would have…

As of right now, a little boy is struggling to live through a bad case of cerebral malaria and a risky blood transfusion performed in Soroti Uganda. He is semi-comatose, responding to pain and occasionally touch, and in need of better medical care than Soroti can provide. They have to wait till morning (its about 3am there) till they can have him air lifted to Kampala. Your prayers would are coveted. Update: (an excerpt from an email)Because the medical clinic in Kampala does not have the medical equipment which would be needed if his kidneys failed, our insurance company wants…

I got home from SF, had a great time. Sarah graduated! I got to see her family again, and spend a bit of time on the beach. Good times all round. I’m a bit worn out though. I’ll get some photos up later today, and regular 7am posting of photos will resume tomorrow. Thanks for being patient. The grueling month of May is nearly over. Its been a blast, but I really think I need to avoid scheduling that many things that close together again. ;)

Every so often the Internet ebbs and becomes boring. Not much is happening online. But, at home, things are hopping, and because of this I find myself with not really enough time to keep on top of it all.So a small break is in order. I’ll get a new batch of photos ready to post in a few days, and I have an essay I’d like to post in the near future also. I am flying to San Francisco this weekend for Sarah’s graduation and when I get home I’ll resume a normal posting schedule. So, in the interm, its…

I’ve been working on adding word search capabilities to the AJAX Bible, and in the process I had to come up with a way to find the shared values between two sets, or in my case with Javascript, two arrays. There aren’t many algorithms published online that I could find, so here is the most efficient method I found.(You can view an example of the set compare algorithm here. View source to see the javascript.)/// <summary>/// Takes two javascript arrays and returns an array/// containing a set of values shared by arrays./// </summary>/// <param name="x" type="array" />/// <param name="y" type="array"…

A few weeks back I made some updates the the Ajax Bible (beta), fixing the bug that would break the strongs concordance when a word had more than one number attatched to it. Yesterday, I also added Prev and Next Chapter links, as well as Prev and Next book links for easier navigation.Enjoy!

I was off in my own little world and didn’t realize that I had run out of photos in my queue, so um, I’ll get right on that. I have a few more Ireland photos yet to post and then back to more STL related imagery. This has been a test of the emergency broadcast sytem. no wait. this was no test. um. This has been an example of the emergency broadcast sytem. Thanks.
