Daily Links Paul Ford is catching mice and writing about it. This photo of a little Iraqi girl crying is beautiful and poignant, and I wish very much that I had taken it. The swedish post office finally gets around to delivering that letter…

I’m at a loss. Can you suggest a title for this verse? Wanting to move, I find myself siezed with indecision Having a desire to respond, yet holding back I know not what my Lord wills in this situation And time marches on, heedless Deep wants, the secret dreams, held close and dear Grasping the insistant hope, while waiting For the fog between now and the future to clear As time marches on, heedless The silence is His answer, and I am contented All things in time, the patient virtue tells With hope, and Faith my dreams in Him invested…
This article on the First and Fourteenth amendment is interesting and informative. Something you don’t often find in weblogs. :)
I got lazy this evening and decided that crosswalk.com needed a bookmarklet to allow you to search its online Bible service. So here it is: Mozilla Compatible –
What amazes me about LOTR Barbies is that the Arwen barbie looks a good deal more like the Arwen I pictured when reading the books. Who would a thunk it?
The American Family Association is conducting a poll on homosexual marriage. Go vote.
I’m not sure weather to be happy or offended by this article on how fundamental christian groups are working in foreign countries. Apparently we use all sorts of insideous tactics like humnitarian aid, education, and medical help to further our prosylitization program. There was one quote in particular that gave me pause. I was reminded of the early objections of the Roman Empire against Christianity. The writer of the article said, What is objectionable in this fundamentalist campaign is not its desire to gain adherents, but in its determination to totally alienate their converts from all their traditions and all…
In the past two years, my interests in photography have segregated themselves into two camps. I like the idea of the single and evocative print, but my real interest of late has been in the area of documentary types of photography. To take an idea and develop it through a series or an essay seems to hold more value than the simple ascthetic. It carries a much deeper weight or meaning, or at least the potential for it. I have resolved to do a few things for 2004. Those resolutions that affect those who visit walljm.com I list here for…
And one more thing… My younger brother (Read) is in need of approximately $500 in order to go back to school this semester. If you would pray for him, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

In a fit of fun and code, I made a home made cam with my Canon 10D. I present to you a series of 50 photographs of me at my computer. Just wait, they refresh every 5 seconds…
on another note… this was spotted on a mezzoblue discussion: Three DIVs for the design-gods painting on macs, Seven for the usability-lords in their websites of grey, Nine for windoze geeks doomed to debug, One for the zeldman on his *page of orange, In the land of New York where the pundits cry. One DIV to size them all, One DIV to pad them, One DIV to colour them all and in their browser style them In the land of W3 where the standards lie. (hat tip: zeldman) *the original said "One for the zeldman on his orange page" and…
The Return of the King: In depth review Just so you know, this is very much a working draft. I’d like to perhaps expand it to include all three movies, and to become a much larger review and critique. But I don’t have a draft feature built into my CMS, so it falls that I must do it publicly. I want it online because I will almost certainly forget or lose it if i try to keep it on a computer somewhere, so here goes. Don’t expect any real cohesiveness yet, or completion of thoughts and issues I raise. Oh,…

Its a Girl! Noelle Arwen Wall was born just a few hours ago to Jeremy and Julie. More details as I get them…
In a review of the Return of the King, it is said by Roger Friedman of Fox News that: The “Lord of the Rings” trilogy does exactly what “The Matrix” didn’t: It’s improved with each film, fleshing out the characters, simplifying plotlines and making them plausible. The human dimension of the trilogy is what has made it such an incredible hit. Jackson and everyone involved at New Line Cinema – most especially composer Howard Shore and co-executive producer Mark Ordesky – can take pride in having made three landmark movies that are instant classics.
Julie’s water broke completely, at 9:00am or so by the looks of it. As of right now, they are at the Hospital waiting. Things are going well. Prayers and such are in order… happy times…

Sister-In-Law Update For those of you who know my sister-in-law, otherwise knows as PokeyPixie, you might be interested to know that her water broke last night. As of this morning at 8:00am, she was leaking amniotic fluid (i don’t know what that means), and the doctors were going to try to stop the contractions and discover the cause of the amniotic fluid leak (sounds like i’m talking about a car!?!). If they can stop the contractions, they will send her home, otherwise she will have to stay in the hospital for a while. That’s all I know for now, further…
