Emmy thinks I’m a hunk and wants to see more photo’s of me. <grin> Unfortunately, since I’m the one taking the photo’s most of the time, I have almost no pictures of me. Fortunately I have a few photo’s… I was such a cute kid…

Personal best in my recent physical fitness kick… I ran 3.7 miles in 30 mins which equates to an 8.1 minute mile.
She was on my mind today, and I was thinking about the day when I would be free to express my love for her. She is often on my mind, giving me pause to consider what it would be like to be her husband. I wonder about the normal times, when life is not a constant romance, the days when realities will take hold and run away with us. I don’t expect to experience the same constant rush of emotions, that wild heady feeling of the moment when I would look at her and think myself far richer than I…
Happy Birthday to you… Happy Birthday to you… Happy Birthday dear you know who… Happy Birthday to you… Happy Birthday goes out to Jason Young, a good friend and stalwart companion, and also to Sarah Navarro, a good friend and encouragement. The world is a better place for the gift God made of you on this day.
You will note the addition of a new section of the site. You may now find all the poetry I have posted in the past there in a convienient location. Check it out, feel free to comment, I love to hear your feedback.
Website Update: I have changed how the comments work, as you may notice, they are sorted in ascending order, the newest comments now being posted at the bottom. It was becoming difficult to follow long threads in reverse chronologial order. Sorry for any confusion, hope this makes it easier for people.
On Sunday evening, I went to see Nickel Creek in concert at The Pagaent here in Saint Louis. It was the first time I’ve seen them live, and they are my favorite band. The experience was better than I could have hoped for. They seem to play openly, honestly, as though they enjoy it as much as you do and are genuinely thankful that you were there to hear them. I wrote down my thoughts and impressions as I listened and thought you might like to read them… She had a certain dulcet beauty, a delicate yet wild hint in…
I sit atop a ledge looking out over the city. A cool breeze makes its presence know by gentle persuasion, the night sky reveals wisps of clouds and the twinkle of far off stars. In the distance a cicada joins a cricket in natures complex melody, a symphony of sights and sounds. The coming of autumn draws nigh. On this night I contemplate the majesty of God’s creation, the wondrous beauty of His handiwork, the vastness of His universe, and I feel that it is small when compared to the height of his mercy and the depth of His love.…
I can never quite define what it is about Autumn that I love so much. It, more so than any other season, seems to speak to my soul, to lift my spirit and inspire me to creative tranquility. A good friend said once that Autumn is more romantic than the other seasons and perhaps that is why I love it more than Spring. The fading leaves and vibrant colours, the cool evenings and wind that blows across your face and through your hair. Autumn signifies the closing of the year, a time to rest and reflect on the events that…
It was a lovely night, but I was disturbed by conscience and fatigue. My heart found expression in the poem ‘The Little Things’, and in these… Among the green grass A summer night sings sweetly With sounds of crickets The heavens show forth Endless creative beauty Of Almighty God On an Autumns eve My heart cries out with longing For a God of love The heart is fickle It betrays at every turn I need Thy sure hand I died, yet I live Through Christ who lives within me By death I gain life I shall die to self? Let…
Jakob Nielson shoots off his mouth a lot about UI design, and offers all sorts of suggestions, and criticizes a lot of people, but for a guy who claims to know so much about UI, his website sucks…
Over the past few weeks, a debate has bee going on concerning the Catholic leanings of my Roommate Jon, the main issue being that of sola scriptura. Continuing the debate from this post Jon said: I am no longer so certain that oral tradition can be so easily changed. I suppose it can be changed, but I do not believe that the Church Fathers would have allowed such changes to take place. In fact, whenever somebody did speak out against the traditions they received from the Apostles, they rebuked those people harshly as heretics and excommunicated them. And this happened…
David K.’s gonna be a DADDY! Sweet. <dances the happy dance> Little Kesselrings running around… <pauses for a moment and thinks about the implications> step one of world domination is well on its way…
Its Allen K.’s Birthday. Happy Birthday Allen. One of my best friends. I’ve always looked up to you. Congrats.
It seems that there have been some problems with domain name propagation. If you have posted a comment recently and it doesnt show up later, I am very sorry. I should have taken the old site down before trasfering, but did not anticipate this kind of problem. I can’t get to the old site without using the domain to access the ftp server. Domain name propagation takes about 24-48 hours, as it filters down and replaces cached websites and such. Everything should be up and without problems by this evening or early tomorrow.
The site has successfully transitioned from my old provider to the new one. I apologize if any comments or such were lost. Since the domain name propogated, I no longer have access to the old DB, and because it took about 24 hours, that period of time from when I last uploaded the DB to the time the domain name switched got lost. Anyway… thanks for your patience during the switch. If you have any problems please let me know, or wait a day as I discover them. thanks.
I am going to be moving to a new hosting provider over the next day… if you see temporary outages please be patient as I get these resolved. Thanks.
The Winds of Autumn The winds of autumn press upon the boughs of yonder tree And all around me midst the yard lies fading greenery Leaves fall from the laden branches, colors bright and fair To lie and sleep whilst winter comes and with it frosty air I love so much the peace and still of Celtic scenery It sooths my heart and lifts my brow and sets my spirit free My soul longs for its gentle touch and restful offering Of autumn winds and fading leaves and quiet genuflecting
I’m so glad to hear from you Anna. Its nice to know my friends read my blog. <smiles>
